Role Overview
The Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager will support the accounting function during a period of growth and systems transformation. This role partners closely with senior leadership to enhance processes, support system implementations, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The position offers strong growth potential, including advancement into senior leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
Support and assist with major system implementations, including:
ERP system implementation and optimization
Payroll system transition and integration
Oversee and perform core accounting functions, including:
Month-end close activities
Fixed assets and depreciation
Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
General ledger review and financial analysis
Assist with construction accounting activities, including job cost support and reporting
Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
Partner with the CFO on:
Process improvement initiatives
Strengthening accounting controls and accounting infrastructure
Assist with system documentation, testing, and post-implementation improvements
Experience & Qualifications
Accounting experience in construction, manufacturing, or other project-based environments strongly preferred
ERP implementation experience highly desirable
Exposure to Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems is a plus
Payroll system experience or implementation exposure is beneficial
Senior Accountants ready to step into a leadership role are encouraged to apply

Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
Degree requirement may be waived for candidates with significant relevant experience
